Looking for PCB designer with spare time :)
-
Hi guys, this is not an employment add.
Just need help with a small PCB that translates stepper-commands for DC-motor w. encoder
The prototype is already working (with interupt control for quadrature encoder and without). The original idea was to squeeze it into the pololu stepper driver compatible form. That would require double sided part-population and at least 4 layers. Too much for Eagle-hobbyusers like me.
For the above linked N20 motor it would be different. Could be an In-Line PCB that sits on the Encoder connector along the motor/gearbox. Input would be two connectors for DC-power and the usual 4-wire stepper-extension cable.
If you're interested, contact me here for details. -
Do you already have a complete schematic?
-
@Martin1454
I don't have a schematic, but I can write a BOM and Netlist. The design is already 2 years old, I have to digg into the details again.
Currently I have problems with login (spawn ENOMEM-error).
We should contact via email. olaf-lampe {at} gmx deThanks in advance

That explains why you mentioned Eagle rather than Kicad, the current favorite in Makers circles.

@zapta
Thanks for the tip!
I guess every free software has some restrictions, what about KiCad? -
@o_lampe KiCAD is open source (see https://kicad.org/about/licenses/ for details), and it seems to provide the four freedoms of open source software for all it's components unless I have missed something.

I believe that the Duet's boards were designed with Kicad.

@zapta That's correct.
