Duet laser filament sensor reporting min 0% with fast extrusion

Cheers dear manufacturers,
I have encountered a problem with my filament laser sensor. Calibration runs fine, as does the first layer printing. However, as soon as it reaches standard printing speeds, which is around 140g/h, it starts to report 0% minimum speed and pauses the print.
Is there any config or way to overclock it of sorts to make it capable of reading filament passing through more rapidly ?Cheers

Here is a read after some printing time:
Duet3D laser filament monitor v2 on input 3, disabled, allow 40% to 115%, check every 10.0mm, version 2, quality 223, brightness 70, shutter 121, measured min 0% avg 58% max 99% over 36647.7mmThe sensor housing was painted black with acryl spray, the filament is bronzegold colored PLA.

There is indeed a maximum speed that the laser filament monitor can track, but I would not expect it to be a problem during normal extrusion. It may well be a problem while loading or unloading filament.
One option may be to convert the laser filament monitor from directly sensing the filament to sensing a secondary wheel. That way the texture/color/speed of the filament itself is no longer an issue.

Hi, thanks for the answer. I looked somewhat closer and realized the filament is full of scales from the production line. They blind the sensor as they accumulate over time.
