DC-DC Buck Converters
-
Hi All,
Sorry about this post I'm sure it's not necessarily for this forum but I'm really stuck with this and I don't believe it's the buck converter as I have now tried this with multiple different ones.
So problems statement - I cant adjust my buck converter
So I have bought some slightly more fancy buck converters with screw-in terminals and an LED screen to tell me what my inputs and outputs are. But when screwing the screw on the little blue box (potentiometer I think) the voltage does not change. I have put a video on youtube showing my exact problem below. This has happened with more than one of them which I think is too coincidental for it not to be something I've done wrong Ahah the LED screen is also Flashing which doesn't look right. is anyone able to help?
Any point would be hugely appreciated!

You can't assume that the display is doing anything other than being a nice blinky light. You need to hook up a meter on the output to see what is happening.
Although a stupid suggestion - make sure that you got the right terminals for input and output ... just in case.
Lastly, a lot of time the adjustment does not provide any feedback for being at the end or the beginning of the adjustment range. This means you might be sitting at the end and cranky one way and internally nothing happens. gain, this is a good reason to see what is happening. If nothing changes, turn the other way.Good luck!

What do you have them wired up to? Photos? Can't really see in the video.

@Phaedrux I'm not at home right now but I will send pics as soon as I am. But I need two for the fans so there will be one on the FAN1 and FAN2 output (Hotend Fan, Board Fan) I thought to include the board automation I would wire the buck converter straight from the board and then to the associated fan. I hope all this makes sense

Take a look at how the buck converters are used here: https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Connecting_and_configuring_fans#Section_Using_12V_fans_when_VIN_is_24V
