Artillery Genius end stops unreliable
-
I installed Duet 2 WiFi in Genius and I have a problem with original endstops.
Sometimes they works sometime not and motors are grinding belt.
Any one have any idea?For now I'm using stall detection but I want to use original Z end stop instead of BLTouch and this is more dangerous to printer.

Can you post the results of M122 please?
What kind of enstops are they? Photo? How do you have them wired? Photo?
Do they correctly report their state in M119?
Post your homing files as well.

Hey bro, doing the same Upgrade, so would be a plessure if u could help me with my Conversation!
How did u connect the Endstops to the duet ? The genius needs 5V not 3.3V Voltage for the Endstopsensor. If u didnt pay attention to this maybe try to wire the endstops like this : [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZGYZ3XXTTU&t=493s](link url) -
@d0minik96 In fact, those
GL-8H
inductive sensors are rated for 12 to 24VDC but they still works for voltage at around 4V.
I powered mine at 12V and used a level shifter to get the sensor output at 3.3V.
I wasn't confident about the sensor reliability at such low voltage as 5V (even the diag LED almost not lit !). -
@Falcounet Uff, i did not think about the signal that goes back to the board. but looks like it can handle the 5V. But it's a good point to consider!
