What does this error mean?
-
Hi and thanks again.
I want to understand this error message so I can learn how to solve it.
This is what I put in and how I understand it:
M557 X10:190 Y10:190 S20 ;
Probe X-axis from position 10 - 90mm on X-Axis.
Probe Y-axis from position 20 - 190mm on Y-Axis.
S20: Do this every 20mm.Now I want to understand the error message with specific reference to the positions:
I don't understand where the grid point 190.0, 10.0 is ... if it is a grid point. Because, When I do: G1 X190 Y10 it goes to that point and it is possible to probe it. This is why I need to learn what this error mean to be able to do the probing correct.
G32
Warning: Skipping grid point (190.0, 10.0) because Z probe cannot reach it
Warning: Skipping grid point (190.0, 30.0) because Z probe cannot reach itThanks.

it usually refers to probe offsets? what probe and what offset are you using?

I really wish I knew. I am about 10 days into Duet and a month in 3D printing. All I need to do is to tell M557 to do 9 probes only. I changed my M557 to:
M557 X55:185 Y30:188 P3:3
I got to these values by moving the nozzle with the buttons on the web UI to make sure the nozzle is out of bounce.
What I don't understand about the error message, is that, as far as I know, I told M557 to only travel from 55-185 for X and 30-188 for Y. Why does it try to probe 190:0? It is not supposed to go there.
I'm dumbstruck. -
post your entire config.g

I told M557 to only travel from 55-185 for X and 30-188 for Y. Why does it try to probe 190:0? It is not supposed to go there. When you do a g1 x100 y100 that is the place of the nozzle , but when you say probe 55mm , that mean the probe not the nozzle.
So 185mm is 185mm + what you have set in your offset what is over the bed limit of 190mm -
@deonholt You've created several posts now asking basically the same questions. I suggest you stick to a single thread. It will really help people provide help if all the relevant info is in a single place.
