Octoprint-eque Gcode preview
-
Hi all,
First post, just finished setting up my Duet upgrade yesterday and doing all the calibration prints now. Love it, though it's quite a shift from Marlin + OctoPrint. One thing I loved about OctoPrint that I can't seem to find mention of in DWC is the live Gcode feed/preview window which shows the segments of Gcode as they print as well as allowing you to scroll through the layers/segments and see what has been/will be printed.
Is there any plan to implement this or a plugin or something?
Thanks!

Not really, no. I did see that. Seems a bit overly complex for what I need and doesn't currently support live play through from what I've seen in the comments. And opening in a separate window so I'd have to click between the two doesn't feel as streamlined as say, replacing the current "layer chart" with it. Personally I'm not getting anything useful out of the layer chart.

Nothing like that currently, but the Duet Pi integration is only just getting started. Plugins will be possible in the near future.

@Phaedrux Thanks for taking the time to reply! Personally my printer is very compact and small though with a 200x200x250 build volume because I designed it to be foldable and portable so all the electronics are rather efficiently packed in. I don't think there's even much space to stick a Pi Zero W.
I feel like it wouldn't be too hard a software feature to implement but it's beyond my coding skills, at least for now
