Duet 6hc config internet

@tech you don't have to, although in the long term I recommend it as over time the features using an SBC will grow.
If you don't want to use a raspberry pi or other SBC then you can set it up I. The same.manner as a duet 2 Ethernet. Note that the SD card that came with it is imaged for a Raspberry Pi.

Internet access to any 3D printer is a security risk. Therefore, it MUST be set up through something that is secure, such as a reverse proxy with authentication. This is not a simple topic.
It requires changes on your Router, and a machine that is always powered on to run the proxy, like a Raspberry Pi or a Windows machine, or a Linux machine.
Once you have your printer on your internal network, and at a fixed IP address, try something like this if you want to use a Raspberry Pi:
Or this if you prefer to run the proxy on a Windows machine:

I have one of the very first of the first batch, and it did not come with a card at all.
No biggie. Follow the instructions to download and write an image to a card. On a decent internet link, maybe adds 10 or 20 min to the whole process.

I'm lost, so please excuse my ignorance... Where did I say I needed ANY assistance in getting my Duet 3 up and running?
I must be mistaken as I thought that I only asked if the first batch came with an SD card or not!!!!!

I humbly beg your indulgence for providing a data point relevant to your question via my own experience, and then providing some extra information. I will endeavor not to do that in the future.
