3D GCode Viewer integrated with DWC
-
@Exerqtor I'll play with it a bit more and see if I can get numbers that work reasonably well for the camera movement. But for now it should be usable to, at the very least, get you close.
-
little typo error.
In the main window, where it says Show object selection, it is written Show object Selction.
-
@Thalios sure enough, I’ll fix that in the morning.

@Exerqtor You can actually use the arrow keys on the keyboard to move the camera.
arrow keys will rotate around
hold down control and you can pan
hold down alt and up and down will zoom in and outI am looking at speeding up the camera movement with the keyboard when pan/zoom (it's a bit slow)
Edit:
Sped up the keyboard controls so you can avoid using the touchpad as much as possible.

Maybe you could even in one of the 4 corners show permanent this hint for navigation with keyboard with an 50% alpha-val or so:
Use mouse or for keyboard:
UP/RIGHT/DOWN/LEFT for move
CTRL & UP/RIGHT/DOWN/LEFT for move
ALT & UP/ALT & DOWN for zoom in/outor something like this put anywhere in one of the boxes...
Great work!

@LB I'll probably look into putting Help/About button that will bring up a dialog. I'll make sure to include the keyboard control info in there. I have a couple things that I want to get to before I turn attention to that.
-
was printing for the first time on my Tronxy big monster and noticed that the cursor is off the rendered printed part.
Don't know if that's a bug or a setting.
See picture.
-
@Thalios Should be on the print. First I have seen of that. The cursor position is based on what the duet is reporting at the time.
-
Notice the X position in both images. the rendered cursor is way off.
-
@Thalios I wonder if there is a difference between the homed position and cursor location. I'll have to look into it
-
Added coloring by feed rate.

Cool: Colours are adjustable e.g. green for slow and red for fast?
-
@LB Not yet. It's on my list
-
Here you go Also it tells you the max feed rate that was detected in the file but that's usually a travel move so it is what it is.

Good morning, I've installed the lastest betas of RFF and DWC as well as the latest version of the plugin wich works but I don't see anywhere the optionf for the render quality and to change colors. Where do I find them?
For installing it I've just downloaded the .zip file of the latest version and uploaded it with DWC...am I missing something?
Thanks

@the_dragonlord That's the built in 'Visualizer' (soon to be removed, I think). @Sindarius's 'Gcode Viewer' is enabled under Setting > Machine-specific > Plugins (which is where 3rd party plug ins are). See https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Duet_Web_Control_v2_and_v3_(DWC)_Manual#Section_Plugins_tab_third_party

uh.. ok how can install the whole plugin?
-
@the_dragonlord Download latest @Sindarius's Gcode Viewer zip file (as a zip, don't extract) from https://github.com/Sindarius/DWC_GCodeViewer_Plugin/releases
Then:Upload plugins using the ‘Upload System Files’ on the System screen. You will then be prompted if you want to install the plugin once uploading has completed. Once started, an option for the plugin will appear in the main menu, if relevant.
Enable the plugin on Setting > Machine-Specific > Plugins.

As you can see from the previous screenshot, I have no option listed...To install the plugin I've just downloaded the .zip from the lateset release and installed via system but maybe I'm missing something because I don't see it in the plugin list
