@drphil3d Its quite a large amount of work to change the PanelDue firmware. That said its open source so you can give it a go:

Alternative thinking: may well be less work mounting an android device running DWC instead of PanelDue

Funny i have the same problem.

I really hope that at some point, someone that does know firmware stuff has the same problem and will add the vertical layout to the options. I really think that the vertical layout would make a lot of sense in a lot of printers.
