How to prevent heater faults for disconnected extruders?
-
I have a few extruders, but sometimes I'd prefer to unmount one or more of them. When they are disconnected, the temperature reading is 2000C. What is a safe way to prevent heater faults in this case?

I don't want to have to change the config file each time, but I am willing to change the firmware if necessary.

Do you actually get errors (other than the 2000 reported?)

@t3p3tony yes, hopefully the image attachment works:

@jml but you are trying to use a tool that is not connected? If you do not call the Tn for the disconnected tool for you still get the errors?

@t3p3tony I thought I wasn't, but then checking the g-code, the slicer referenced the unused extruders (setting them to temperature 0). I removed these lines manually and it seems to have fixed it!
