Compact power box to mount on vertical 2040 (delta)
-
Hello,
I've Just wanted to share my new design for crazy people like me with all electronics in the top triangle of a Delta
It's a compact powerbox to be installed at the bottom of the printer on a vertical 2040.
-
Thanks for sharing. This is exactly what I was looking for a couple weeks ago and was too lazy to draw it up...
Nice job!
-
Same story here, but I've finally decided to draw it

@hergonoway Thanks for sharing. I think I will remix this to fit my power connector but this will definitely solve a lot of issues with the PSU shroud I am currently designing (or trying to ).
-
Show me your power connector, I'm currently making an alternative version for a friend, maybe its the same.

@hergonoway I could not find some good pictures quick, so here is the link to the shop:

also they have a readily wired version which I link down below just because it has pictures from other angles:

Looks safe...
I love my exposed AC power outlet right next to a conductive chassis without a shield. It should have a printable cover between the box and the frame for safety.

Well you can always put a 1 or 2mm cover since its flat against the 2040, it's a good idea I'll add the stl. (EDIT : I've added a lid to the project)
Everything depends of how you wire everything right like the rest of the printer.
Pg7 connexion cancel movement if you pull the wire and outlet is fixed on the frame.
For my part, printer's frame is link to ground and wires are solder to the outlet and cover with shrinkable tube. Exposed part are then finished with nail polish. Connection with the breakout cable are made with a 3 way nylon terminal block within wires crimped with insulated connector.
