Roto Toolboard Stepper Motor Connection Diagram
-
Hi,
I have bought Roto Toolboard and trying to make connection with stepper motor.
But the connection on https://docs.duet3d.com/duet_boards/duet_3_can_expansion/duet_3_rrtb/duet3_rrtb_v1.0_wiring_latest.png is not clear. Are A+ and B+ placed to upper row or lower row?
Additionally, I can not reply to the questions which I have asked, is there any limitation?
Thank you

@aytact You need to first check which wires on your stepper motor are the motor phases; see https://docs.duet3d.com/en/User_manual/Connecting_hardware/Motors_connecting. You should have two pairs of wires, that are each end of the two motor coils.
Then connect the pairs of wires to the pins of the connector, where one phase pair connects to A+ A-, and the other to B+ B-. These are diagonal across the connector. It doesn't matter which way around each pair is, so it doesn't matter if A+ and B+ are on the upper or lower row (though I'm pretty sure they are on the upper row). If the motor runs backwards, you can change the direction in config.g with M569 S parameter; see https://docs.duet3d.com/en/User_manual/Reference/Gcodes#m569-set-motor-driver-direction-enable-polarity-mode-and-step-pulse-timingYou can't reply to topics because you haven't validated your email address. I've sent you a validation email to the email address you used to register on the forum. You can PM me if you don't receive this.
