Duet2 WiFi + Duex 5
-
Good morning. I have searched the forums for a couple days looking for my issue. If someone can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.
I added a duex 5 to my duet 2 WiFi board. The purpose was to add 3 independent z motors to my project printer. I connected everything, wired it up and mapped the drives. Attempting some small test moves the z motors began making a horribly loud vibrating noise. The noise is short and matches the distance I attempted to move. But if I try to move the axis a few times in this condition the motors do this noise indefinitely until I shut off power.

@decent have the motors worked before? It sounds like they may be wired incorrectly. See https://docs.duet3d.com/en/User_manual/Connecting_hardware/Motors_connecting
Please post your config.g and the response to M115.

@droftarts fixed. It was steeper motor wiring. That’s crazy to me there is no standard for this. Thanks
