Connecting LED's to 1LC Toolboard
-
Anyone know how to connect stealth burner led's to 1LC Toolboard? Can they be connected to IO 0 using +5v, GND and io0.out for data? Or do they have to be connected to 6HC.

@thaug29 See https://docs.duet3d.com/en/User_manual/Connecting_hardware/IO_Neopixel_DotStar
Yes, you should be able to connect a small number of LEDs to a 1LC. Use 5V and ground to provide power, but make sure that your LEDs don't draw more current than the 1LC can provide. For the signal wire, use any pin that can be used as a digital output. However, the 1LC doesn't have a lot of outputs (mainly inputs), and only IO_1.out can be used directly, which has 5V signalling I think.
I haven't tested wiring up LEDs to a 1LC (I've tested various pins on mainboards), it's on my to-do list.

@droftarts I don't see IO_1.out on the toolboard but there is IO_0.out. It may be safer to just run them back to the 6HC unless there is someone that has successfully connected them to the toolboard.

@thaug29 oops sorry, yes, io0.out, not io1.out.
