Nevermore StealthMax (Nevermore Controller) & RRF

Nevermore StealthMax
So the "Nevermore StealthMax" is more or less done at this point, and i'm looking into building one (since the wife has been complaining about the ABS smell. Happy wife happy life etc).
But as everything Voron related it's an uphill battle for us not succumbing to Klipper, this time it's the "Nevermore Controller" that's inside the new StealthMax that poses an challenge. At least if one want to retain all the functionallity and monitoring from the filter system.
I see (in their discord) that it's been made adaptions to use a "QT Py RP2040" rather than a Raspberry Pi Pico W.
Would connecting to that be made possible with the RRF RP2040 compatibility? Or is that a totally different thing?Any other ideas for how a RRF/Duet3D user could utilize one of these filters maybe? I thought about maybe using the new 1RR board if since i bet i could make that fit somewhere inside the filter. But afaik there aint any "VOC" sensor support for any of the Duet3D boards yet, so that dream got cut short.
Anyone else got any ideas around this?

@Exerqtor Did they use that so they could add the VOC sensors using I2C STEMMA QT connector system?
(e.g.) this:
https://www.adafruit.com/product/5046That makes sense from a quick implementation but if making the control boards in volume why not spin a custom board with the RP2040 and other sensors on board? Anyway that aside, If they are using the RP2040 controller it has USB not CAN-FD so no easy way to add it to the Duet system as a whole. it would probably be easier to add the sensor (although that needs support in firmware ofc.
What are the actual control and sensing requirements for this filer system? the VOC/Temp sensor and a fan?

@T3P3Tony Update - tuns out they use the bluetooth to communicate with the Pi.. interesting. I feel support in SBC mode also using bluetooth could be added. In stand alone mode it would be a bit more complex (bluetooth to UART, then firmware support over UART for example)

@T3P3Tony
Well i'm far from knowledgeable enough to make my own board, not to mention the firmware for it.That said, if such a board was to be made i personally wouldn't have an issue with it being connected through CAN rather than wireless. The filter needs two wires ran to it anyways, so doing a CAN pair in the same loom wouldn't be a huge issue.
Being able to connect VOC sensor(s) to Duet3D boards would be a nice feature in general though, the SPG40 for instance
😅
