I used the config from config tool and I can't reach the DWC now
-
hey,
I have duet 2 ethernet I am using reprap 3.4.5
I wanted the use both hotend heater pins. firstly to check if the new cables are working or not I used the previously used pin which is e0. the hotend worked properly, so no problem with the cable. later I put the same cables to the other pin(e1) and leave e0 free. I changed the pin and heater number from config, but it didn't worked I could see the new created heater from DWC dashboard but the temprature was -273 C. so I went to config tool and add 1 more heater and create the new config. But unfortunately I didn't add the new part to my config I upload the new created system files via DWC. And I think it changed the config too, later I couldn't reach the DWC anymore. I checked the IP address from pronter face it was 0.0.0.0 and set the IP address to my previous one by m552 s0 p... and it settled but I still couldnt reach DWC. I took out the sd card and put it to my computer and delete the config and add the previous config but it doesn't work still. this is the previous config; Configuration file for Duet Ethernet (firmware version 3) ; executed by the firmware on start-up ; ; generated by Julian Zettl Feb 2022 ; edited by Deniz and Tillman July 2023 ; ================= General preferences =================== G90 ; send absolute coordinates... @siladeniz said in I used the config from config tool and I can't reach the DWC now:
M552 P192.168.1.254 ; set IP Address
M553 P255.255.255.0 ; set Netmask
M554 P192.168.1.0 ; Set default GatewayDid you try adding those lines from your old config to your new config?
-
@Phaedrux no because I don't want to use new config I just want to take the second heater lines from there and add to my config. Also while I am trying to update the documents which I got from config tool, I deleted www, firmware and sys files in sd card. and add the config tool generated www, firmware and sys files. later as I said previously it didn't work and I turned back to old files. I think I might delete something wrong I'll share the files with you can you check please?
or there is another option I can delete all the files in the sd card, I'll copy my config and macros. and I will download the latest firmware version and put it to the sd card. Does it work? I don't know if the other files can be arranged by user or just copy paste from the downloads thats why I don't know if I arranged them in some way.
here is the files: -
@siladeniz I noticed that in the files config.g and config.json don't have same content. Is it should be like that?
-
@Phaedrux okay I found the problem the gateway number was changed and I set it with m554
