Connecting an AMB Milling Motor 1400 FME-P DI 230V
-
Hi Everyone. I'm in the process of finishing my killerbee 1515. Is it possible to connect this milling machine and control it directly with a duet3 6hc and no PWM?
Thanks in advance

@marlyman It's possible to control that one (I have a similar one from Mafell) but only with a PWM to 10V converter board like this: https://www.amazon.de/1-3KHZ-Digital-Wandler-Spannung-Converter/dp/B0789738RC/ref=sr_1_7

@chrishamm Hi Chris. i have ordered the PWM converter from amazon. So, as there is no much info online for controlling this type of spindle without a vfd i am literally all ears. so i bring power to the spindle from a normal plug. then ???? I can follow pics if you have them instead of melting your head.

@marlyman The pdf you linked shows the wiring:
CNC-router connection (three-core)
brown: 10 - 26 V DC for power supply
green; 0 - 10 V DC for speed control
white: 0 V for ground/ GNDConnect brown (positive) and white (negative/ground) to PSU (26V max).
For the green wire, if you have the PWM boards, there are a number of options of outputs on the Duet to use; see https://docs.duet3d.com/en/User_manual/Machine_configuration/Configuration_CNC#connecting-a-spindleIan

@droftarts Ok Im getting Close now. I have brown and white gone to psu, the green wire to voltage out on the pwm converter and the Out9 and gnd pins on the PWM signal going to the pwm input and gnd.
My config.g looks like this
; Tools
; AMB spindle configuration
M950 R0 C"pwm_pin" L0:24000 Q1000
M563 P0 S"AMB 1400" R0
T0when i try to start the spindle Im getting this error from the console. Id be very grateful if you could point me in the right direction
