Hotend current jumps to 2000

I have a Duet3 6HC with a 1LC v1.1 toolboard and filament monitor. When the print actually starts the hotend current jumps to 2000. The printer continues moving as if it was printing but without filament being feed. When I do M115 it comes back that the 1LC is connected, I do M591 D0 and it says no monitor connected. I then do pass and cancel print and it says no hotend, fan or monitor connected. If I restart the print it continues and prints as if nothing is wrong. This is on a Voron 2.4 that I have been running for more than a year now without issue. What I did do is put a new Rapido hotend with PT1000 on. This problem does not happen every print but it does do it several times in a row and then nothing for a while. Toolboard software v3.3beta2, Duet3 v3.3

@Phaedrux The hotend temp is set to 220deg and it remains at 220 during x,y,z homing and bed leveling but when print starts it jumps to 2000 but it is still set to 220. I have been reluctant to update software because it has been running fine and I didn't want to screw it up.

@thaug29 It's most likely a wiring issue or faulty thermistor - most likely an intermittent connection caused by a bad crimp but it's not unknown for thermistors to have internal faults producing the same issue.

@Phaedrux Well now I'm probably screwed. I tried doing a update to 3.4.4 by uploading the zip file to the DWC system directory and answered yes to do the update and it's being sitting here saying "Please wait updates are being installed" for about 30 minutes now.

You're safe to power cycle. Chances are the update was successful but didn't restart itself cleanly. You can't brick a Duet with a bad firmware update. Worst case you would need to reflash the firmware via USB and Bossa software.

@Phaedrux I power cycled it but for some reason it keeps trying to do the update. I am going to try to create a new sd card.

Where do you see it trying to do the update?
Try do a hard refresh on the DWC page, or clear your browser cache.

@Phaedrux Ok, I have a new SD card with v3.4.4 on it and the printer is back running so I can now get back to my original problem. I will be running some test prints today to see if I have a bad thermistor or bad wire crimps or worn cables. Thanks
