Invert Z Controls
-
My current 3D printer is a CoreXY where the bed moves down and away from the print head when I increase Z. From the 3D print's perspective this makes complete sense as the distance from the print head to the bed is increasing. From my perspective however this is counter intuitive. When I press the a Z move button in DWC or on my PanelDue I expect the bed to move in that direction. Meaning if I press the -25mm button in DWC I expect the bed to move down -25mm, not to try to move up.
This causes confusion for me when I go to start a print for the first time in a few months as my brain is not in the mindset of thinking from the prints perspective. Ill home the printer and then try to drop the bed down to apply glue stick and the bed wont budge. There will be a brief moment of panic, thinking I broke something. Then I realize the issue and feel like a idiot.
Is there a way to invert the Z controls in DWC / PanelDue such that when I press -25mm Z axis will instead move to the +25mm position? If not is this something that could be added? I cannot be the only moron who does this. LOL

@CthulhuLabs
See it as distance from bed to nozzle instead. It works in any case.Once you've rammed the nozzle into the bed surface (cracking some glass sheet), because you allowed negative Z-range, you'll learn this lesson fast. (I did )

@o_lampe I do see it that way.... after I ram the nozzle into my bed. The issue is that after a month or two of not using my 3D printer I forget this lesson and end up repeating my mistake. After breaking three glass beds I figured I should ask for this feature.
