Inductive on Duet 3 and wiring of the Heat Bed
-
First question:
I need help connecting the Stock (Voron 2.4) inductive probe Zhongde PL-05N2 on my Duet3 board.
This is a Voron Build.I'm thinking
The Brown on VIN 24 V
The Blue on GND
The Black on one of the IO_X - iox.in
Maybe I could use the POWER IN on the board as Power supply for the probe?
Mayby there are other (Better) suggestions of what to use?The specifikation are:
Zhongde PL-05N2
Brown : +V
Blue: 0V
Black: OUTNPN NC
DC 6-36 VI am powering my board with 24 V Mean Well.
Second question:
The Heat Bed is connected til OUT 0. But now I'm a little unsure if there are any power out in that Port. Do I need to plug Power in from my PSU to OUT 0 Power in, in order to get power on OUT 0?
Heat bed element is powered from 230 V AC, and the bed is activated with a solid state relay from the OUT 0.

Yes. You need to supply power to OUT 0 power in.
For the probe, I think that sounds correct. Have you seen this? https://docs.duet3d.com/en/User_manual/Connecting_hardware/Z_probe_connecting#npn-output-normally-open-inductive-or-capacitive-sensor
The io pins are 30v tolerant, so using 24vin should be fine.

@phaedrux Thanks for the answers. Then I'm not totally wrong and thats good. I just does'nt trust my own knowledge, because i'm scared to break the board.
Yes I saw that, but again, I was not totally sure.
I will do this:
The Brown on VIN 24 V
The Blue on GND
The Black on one of the IO_X - iox.inI will not place a diode in between, if I have understanded this sentence correctly. Can you elaporate on that?
"Duet 3, Duet 2 WiFi/Ethernet revision 1.04 or later, Duet 2 Maestro: you can connect the output of the sensor directly to the Z-probe IN pin".

"Duet 3, Duet 2 WiFi/Ethernet revision 1.04 or later, Duet 2 Maestro: you can connect the output of the sensor directly to the Z-probe IN pin".Yes that is what I take the documentation to mean. You should be ok without a diode.
