Won't Resume after pause

We have a Modix Big-Meter
When trying to print a large item and the filament runs out the head moves to the let front of the machine like it should, but it continues to say printing. it won’t let me retract the filament from the head to load new roll. if I push the pause button nothing happens it is like it freezes up. If I hit the pause button during a print it dose the same thing and won’t let me resume printing -
Can you share the config files and macros being used? What firmware version?
