Max Voltage of expansion board 3hc drivers 36v or 48v

I couldn't find any info about the Max voltage on the 3hc board/drivers. I want to use a 36v - 48v PSU for just the 3hc board but my understanding is that the 3hc board and 6hc uses similar hardware and therefore I'm limited to the 36v and have to adjust the voltage and lower it to 32v? Any help on this would be appreciated. Also the 3hc board is only being used for the stepper motors and wont be connecting any other hardware that requires voltage below 36v or 48v. The main board will run off a separate PSU.
