Help for translation needed
-
@caviara bulgarian is not supported so far and we don't plan to add more languages. Thanks offering your help.
-
Thanks already to @cosmowave and @Aitor we got revised translations german and spanish for PanelDue.
The tasks takes about 15min if you got an github account. So any help for the following languages would be very much appreciated.
- french
- czech
- italien
- ukranian
- russian
Have a nice day.
-
@mfs12 Eventually i can help also with ukranian... My brother lives there and his wife is from ukrain. But it's sometimes complicated to reach him. Because there is a difficult situation with "war"...
-
@mfs12 Sign me up for French!
-
@Fred-Y good to hear... thanks.
Please check https://github.com/mfs12/PanelDueFirmware/pull/2 for further instructions. If you don't have already a github account it's best to create one.
-
@cosmowave @Aitor thanks for you help. I build a new version with your changed translations.
If you like to test and provide feedback this would be appreciated.

@mfs12 can i use this PanelDueFW with RRF 3.3?
Or do i have to update to RRF 3.4? -
@cosmowave it should be mostly compatible. No need to update.

Good morning @mfs12,
I'm testing the translated version and I've seen a few things
On the one hand 5.0i and 7.0i are separated, is there a reason? what do they change?
Also as I expected Heaters comb. in Spanish is too long, I think it will be better to leave it in English, on the other hand this same button did not work, they always remained combined.
In the print section the text did not appear completely and this has space to appear.
On the other hand, the button that serves to change cards is no longer displayed, unless you mount the card with M21 P1, before it served to mount the card if it was not mounted, when you removed this functionality?, it could be added again? Also you can see that while I was calibrating the printer the status of the due panel did not change to busy in DWC if it changed, I did not see it in the translations either.
I will keep looking for more options to see if I can find something else.
Best regards

@mfs12 I thin I'm done, there is still a few sentence in English but getting a proper translation is not easy (ex. Heaters comb., feedrate...)
I added some comments like "need context" to make sure I can provide a correct translation.Let me know when it's integrated to a build and I will load it into one on my printers.
-
@mfs12 Please change in german in the setup page to "Heat's kombiniert" and "Heat's nicht komb."
Sorry for the late reply!Edit: Sorry again, in the Status page to "Geschw.", Geschwindigkeit is to long.
-
Hey @cosmowave,
already updated Heat entries. And set Tempo/Geschwindigkeit to "Speed".
As i also speak german I think speed is a ok-ish compromise. Geschw. is unclear, as is Tempo.
Thanks a lot for your help!
-
This is the pull request where I merge all your suggestions and correction together.
-
So far we reviewed english (obviously), german, spanish and french.
A big thanks to all the helping hands!
-
@mfs12 Did you included the new translations into PanelDue-3.4.0-pre2?
Thanks -
Hey @Fred-Y, yes, translations where added. Although there was only one suggested change in french. Or did i miss something. I found just one comment.
And this entry got meanwhile obsolete for all languages.
-
On the one hand 5.0i and 7.0i are separated, is there a reason? what do they change?
No, just the new build process. I thought it's nice to have explicit builds for every device. But it looks like there are going to be merged again into one image.
-
@mfs12 I'm not familiar with GitHub, I added many corrections, I'm not quite sure why you didn't see them - they are all "Pending".
I have surely missed somethingLet me know how to fix this and I will do it asap.
-
@Fred-Y this is weird. never saw this "pending" status before.
