Proposal for a new category "Documentation"
-
The development of the firmware is very dynamic, sometimes the documentation is outdated or misleading. It might make sense to store temporary notes centrally and not spread all over the place.
Maybe the threads can be marked with
changes / issues / questions.Bonus:
Sometimes you are a bit surprised when you read the same content again and the content has suddenly changed.
It would also be good if changes to the documentation could be announced here with a short message.
It would be even nice(r) to have a tag directly in the documentation with the date of change or a note.Edit:
When i wrote this i found out how to show changes in the documentation.
This is not perfect but at least a possibility if you doubt your own remembering.Click on options in the Wiki
In history you get the overview
Notes for the latest change

@diy-o-sphere thanks for the suggestion. We are looking at documentation in the round and will consider a forum category for it as part of that.

Hello Toni,
can I enter change requests directly in the wiki?
Is it possible to simply write a comment at the points where changes are requested?
I think you should then check this and adjust it if necessary. -
@diy-o-sphere you can make changes to the wiki (you need to make an account) which will be shown as "unverified" until someone with the appropriate permissions (e.g. @droftarts) verifies the changes.

@t3p3tony
Strange i was able to log in with my goolge account and change directly without confirmation.
But I have to deal with it first and have undone my change... -
@diy-o-sphere which page did you change?
-
@t3p3tony
Can connection, would like to add a picture of the direct wiring of toolboard 1.1 to Mini5+ -
@diy-o-sphere which page did you try to change?
-
-
@diy-o-sphere I looked in the history but can't see your revision.

@t3p3tony
I have edited
https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Duet_3_Tool_Board.
Now it comes up as a unverified version, which seams right ....
Someone should make new graphics....An the image of the 6HC has a minor bug....
The ZH plug is shown from the wrong side.......
Should look like this... -
@diy-o-sphere
The diagram is correct, and has been updated recently. See the thread here: https://forum.duet3d.com/topic/23871/wiring-diagram-between-duet3-6hc-and-1lcSorry, I see what you mean, it's just the graphic for the connector that needs changing. One for @T3P3Tony to fix, again!
And thanks for the edit and graphic for the Mini 5+ to toolboard connection, I've accepted that. And just tweaked it a little for clarity.
Ian
