individual z axis stepper connectors

Hey, guys want to clarify something reg to connect 2 individual steppers to the Z onto aduet2wifi. is that mean because of using extruder no-3 it comes as E3 inline
M584 X0 Y1 Z2:4 E3? and if I use extruder no-1 does it come M584 X0 Y1 Z2:4 E1? -
E3 is correct, because you use driver number 3.
The firmware will see it as extruder'0', because it counts all extruders in order of their appearance in the M584 line. (beginning with '0')
In your case it's only one extruder. -
@o_lampe Sorry I meant extruder no-1 is E1. then remains the line M584 X0 Y1 Z2:4 E3?
-
@sarvan
E3 will be seen as E0, because it's the first extruder you've mapped. -
@o_lampe again to make it clear. I have an extruder connected to the E0 socket and E1 to Z second stepper connected. so, The line becomes M584 X0 Y1 Z2:5 E4. Does it make sense?

@sarvan said in individual z axis stepper connectors:
M584 X0 Y1 Z2:5 E4. Does it make sense?
No, Duet2 doesn't have a driver number 5. (without a dueX5 connected)
M584 X0 Y1 Z2:4 E3
was correct

@o_lampe Gotcha. thanks
