PT100 daughter board issues
-
I'm running RepRapFirmware for Duet 2 WiFi/Ethernet 3.3 (2021-06-15)
Duet WiFi Server Version: 1.26
I was looking over the code and still no luck. The temp shows 2000c but the hotend is cold. There must be some software issue. I used the configurator but somehow things are not right. -
Share your config and a photo of how you have the board setup. Are you sure it's a PT100 sensor?
Have you seen these?

The thermistor is Slice engineering PT 100 450c
I will take a look at the links you posted.

@phaedrux I think a PT100 is an RTD element that is low resistance. I took it out of the circuit and checked resistance with ohmmeter. It looks like an open. I started off without the shorts on the outer pins. I guess There was over voltage applied to it and ruined the Thermistor.

@phaedrux Hi,
I did see those links earlier. I just tried a test of that channel. I installed the test resistor and I see -1.3c current temp. I'm trying to get setup to print higher temp filaments. I was thinking about thermocouple as sensor but I couldn't find a daughter board. Maybe PT100 is a better way to go?Mark

Is this what you have? This is not a PT100, it's just a high temperature thermistor.
To use the PT100 daughterboard you would need a PT100 sensor like this: https://e3d-online.com/products/pt100-temperature-sensor
A thermocouple is different as well and has it's own daughterboard:
https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Thermocouple_daughter_board
https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Connecting_thermocouplesSee here for some info on different kinds of temp sensors
https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Temperature_sensorsIf you already have the PT100 daughterboard and a hotend that can take a cartridge style sensor, than getting the E3D PT100 sensor is a good option if you want to use high temp materials as it's good up to 500c.

@phaedrux Hi, I think you are correct. I checked back on the order and it is a high temp thermistor. I ordered the one you left a link to, so it should arrive soon. Since the test with a resistor shows near zero I think the software and daughter board are working ok.
