Raise Z when outside build area
-
Title says it all. Is there a way to make sure that any travel moves outside the main build area raise the Z first to clear clamps/screws?

That would have to be done in the slicer.
To avoid collisions you could set the min/max of your axes in your M208 to limit the printable area.

The problem with M208 is that I need the nozzle to be able to go outside of the build area to purge and brush the nozzle. I'm probably just going edit the purge, pause, resume macros, but I'd love a way to tell the printer that any moves below 0 on X or Y should raise Z though.

That would seem to make sense since you would have complete control.
If it was a feature of the firmware how could you brush the nozzle - once moved to the desired location for "brushing" wouldn't moving during the operation trigger raising the nozzle again?
Thanks.

@fcwilt It's a corexy so the nozzle only moves on X&Y and the brush is on a bracket fixed to the frame.
