24v fan connection on Duet 2 wifi

the default setting from the configurator should produce the required config.
did you make any changes to that?check the wiring diagram.
https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Duet_Wiring_Diagrams
the fan headers have a v_fan pin which is the red wire and the other is the black wire. -
https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Connecting_and_configuring_fans
Fan0 is typically the part cooling fan and Fan1 is the hotend heatsink fan.
-
I connected them here,
they turn on at start-up that of the hotend turns on when it reaches temperature.
But I can't control and / or turn them off. -
post your config.g

M950 F0 C"fan0" Q500 ; create fan 0 on pin fan0 and set its frequency
M106 P0 S0 H0 T45 ; set fan 0 value. Thermostatic control is turned on
M950 F1 C"fan1" Q500 ; create fan 1 on pin fan1 and set its frequency
M106 P1 S1 H1 T45 ; set fan 1 value. Thermostatic control is turned onyou configured both fans to be non controllable.
change first one to
M106 P0 S0 H-1

@Veti
Thanks a lotsthe new configuration will be like this then
M950 F0 C "fan0" Q500; create fan 0 on pin fan0 and set its frequency
M106 P0 S0 H-1 T45; set fan 0 value. Thermostatic control is turned on
M950 F1 C "fan1" Q500; create fan 1 on pin fan1 and set its frequency
M106 P1 S1 H-1 T45; set fan 1 value. Thermostatic control is turned onAlso I wanted to ask if there is any other optimization I can do for the speech fans.
I was advised to keep the hotend fan off when printing both PLA and PETG. How do you manage them?

i dont think you used the right words here. do you mean noise?

PLA wants cooling.
pets wants a little bit of coolingThat is managed in the slicer fan setting

@gdefranc
what do you mean by optimizations?
