Native App for Duet3d/RRF - Wishlist
-
A sneak peek on the latest version. Now with Apple Watch included.
The mobile screen is totally configurable and you can add as many screens and tiles as you want, and mix up from multiple printers.
This is getting close for a public beta launch .
-
Wow. I like that. When will there be the beta launch ?
-
@gringo I'm happy to send pre-beta versions for people to test it. Let me know if you are interested.
-
Yes, I am interested. I have two printers with Duet2 Wifi in use.
- voron switchwire
- IDEX Printer
If I read this correctly the app runs on old Devices as well.
Also on a first Generation IPad? -
@gringo Yes, I have an old iPad where I am testing it as well. Unfortunately I will have to decide if we want to enable Apple Watch or old iOS, because they eventually will not be compatible. Right now everything is working from iOS 9.3.
-
I'd certainly be interested in testing out an Android version I've got a Fire 7 tablet with a stock Android ROM which I use for my printers.
-
Great news!
The app is now ready to be tested by everyone!- If you have an iOS device, iPhone/iPad/Watch, please let me know your Apple ID to be invited to the TestFlight.
- If you have Android mobile or tablet, I will send you a link to download an APK.
Please send me a direct chat or preferably join the Discord https://discord.gg/tZqeXARwp4 and find the links there.
I would love to get lots of feedback, and seeing the custom screens that you will build!
Many more tiles will come soon to add on your screens. -
The 1st version of the app is now live on each store:
Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nomukaiki.dac
iOS: https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/duet-app-control/id1548032260

5 stars!
-
Will this app work with the CNC focused DWC from Ooznest and Sindarius? Or is it more tailored to 3d printers?
-
@chimaeragh at the moment it's more 3d printer focused, but it's on the development list
-
brilliant, that would give a great second life to my old ipad; the web interface gets clunky through safari
I'll give it a shot!
-

@nomukaiki I was using with a lot of satisfaction the app but now, after the FW update, it looks not to work well anymore...is there some new issue?

the last stable version

@nomukaiki Love the app, running on a Samsung S21 Ultra.
Spotted an issue I think. Had the app running, used DWC to set the temps.Graph has updated but not the tool section...
If I go back and go back in to the printer it updates.Changed the Tool0 temp to 100 with the app open, the graph changes but not the numbers.
Not a show stopper.P.

Same issue with the same phone

@nomukaiki Any plans on supporting SBC? Was really happy to see this but I can only use it on some of my servers. Be happy to be a test case if you do a SBC release.
-
@nomukaiki please consider to publish the source code. Your app is great, but my impression is that you have not enough time to maintain it. It would be a pity for the app if it were no longer maintained. If it is open source, someone would probably be willing to help with maintenance. I could try helping with the Android part. iOS is difficult for me to help, I have no apple hardware.
