Bed heat and no enclosure your opinions pls.

So heres my question to you all.
I have a seriously modified cr10-s5
Given the bed size. i would describe the bed more as a gigatntic heatsink before i would call it a evenly heated surface,, thats for sure...!!
Im assuming givin its age they probably used the same heat pad as the standard sized unit. it litaraly takes 20 min to heat to 65c and i believe its actually a lot cooler than It says
My plan is to go with a 1000w 120 v heatpad.
I Know i need to set pid after converting. But thats about it. I would appreciate any input that you guys have that would educated me as to what i had and what to expect for challenges after the upgrade. "What i had" is important to umderstand the problems we create for ourselves and how to engineer around them in the future. Im still learning
I suspect also that the readings for temp are like way of maybe as much as 9°c cooler thats for sure
Next if you can, maybe someone can also piont me into the direction i might want to take for a heated chamber ,matereals to use. to a full range of temps. Ect
Materials are as follows
heat pad
Ssr
100k thermistor in the pad
I know that theres a ton of you guys out there that have done exactly what im doing so any insight is greatly appreciated
I prefer to use top grade materials

@ziggymanpopo Attach the heater to the plate using high temperature silicone, mount a TCO on the heater, and ground the bed plate to the line input ground.

I aggre with ther thermal cutout. I was thinking of a bi-thermal clickson that needs to be fisicaly reset if max temp is exceeded what is the highest temp one would have too hit with a heated bed,, what max should i shoot for ??
