Hi! long time ago i have seen android app that helps to calculate belts and also has a tension measurement mechanism. it did not require and extra hardware, but the phone itself.
anyone knows the app name? thanks!!!

Every tune app for guitar will work. But the best I have found is a belt tension meter

A trummeter works very well

Gates have an app called Carbon Drive. I have felt happier with a sprung displacement device - I use something like the one mentioned above, modified so that you can measure the displacement using digital callipers.

Found this post interesting - I think I will also printout something easy for now (I still can later ruin my bank account for something expensive)
That brought me to search a little bit on thingiverse, wanted to share what I think is doing maybe the job:
measure (the original from pipersw but the high-end version of it):

Seems like those with light are the most precise one, but they cost also, found this one which seems to be comparable to the one you posted:

And then there are so many with microphones (instead of light) which might take up some background noise but might be cheaper(?):

Maybe for a first guess the mobile-phone-app might be sufficient? But if I would go ever exact I think I would also opt for light instead of microphone, because there is no background noise any more So thanks for posting the link above
