Octoprint Pause gcode
-
I'm using a Mosaic Palette so I need Octoprint. I'm having a problem figuring out the pause gcode. The default just parks it in place. When I try a custom gcode something goes wrong with the extruder where it reverses for a long time and goes way past the 6mm retract. This also happens when I use the Palette load script, it starts loading and reverses. The are several people in the Mosaic forum having the same issue without an answer and their customer support can't figure it out. I think it's confusing absolute retraction and relative. I print in absolute but for trouble shooting I tried changing my config and Cura file for relative and the same thing happens. I know when I had this problem with the Duet and power resume it ended up being a bug in RRF2 that DC fixed. If anyone has a pause script that works in Octo I'd like to start with that.
I have a Duet wifi with the last version of RRF2 on it; the latest version of Octoprint 14.2; Modix Big 60 V3

Do you know what pause gcode it's sending? What do you have in pause.g?
Latest version is unfortunately vague. What version specifically are you using? Send M115 to check.

Maybe you can help me out with the following that I just posted on the Octoprint forum.
Hi,
I have an Anycubic Predator (Delta) running on an Duet 2 wifi board with a Duet Smart effector, the printer works very well now but to be able to work with colors I bought a Palette 2 S Pro and installed OctoPrint (latest version) on a Raspberry B+ because the Palette 2 S Pro has to work with OctoPrint.
OctoPrint is running on the pi via wifi and I can connect to the Predator (Duet) with OctoPrint, hotend and bed temp works, homing also, but when I do some test moves I get next error
"Your printer's firmware reported an error. Due to that OctoPrint will disconnect. Reported error: G0 / G1: target position not reachable from current position"
When I dive into the internet I don't see any setups that use OctoPrint in combination with Duet 2 wifi, so I wonder if this will be a good marriage at all !!
The question is, can this work? or should I give this up and return the Palette 2 S Pro and spend my hard earned money elsewhere?
Btw, I'm a noob in the field of programming and quite new to the 3D printer field, so rocket science isn't really my thing
Greetings and thanks in advance,
Mario

This typically means that the requested move would require one of the tower carriages to move up further than it physically can. The solution is to lower the z height before commanding that move and is unlikely related to the octoprint itself.

The effector moved maybe 5cm from center.
But the problem is solved, brought the Palette 2 S Pro + Canvas Hub S back to the shop, for that kind of money things should just work, or at least have a good tutorial where everything is tackled.

I felt the same way with mine, honestly. I never got better than a keychain out of it.

You saved my day with your response, thought it was up to me and my knowledge
