Piezo orion with dual E3D V6 ?
-
I draw in Fusion a direct drive head for my HEVO, with single BMG, E3D V6 hotend and piezo orion sensor.
It's possible to add a second direct drive with BMG, E3D and piezo on the same carriage like BMG-X2 ?
It's possible to wire in parrallel the signal wires from the Orion connector ?And how use two Z probe and calibrate the two Z offset for the two hotend ?

And how use two Z probe and calibrate the two Z offset for the two hotend ?I'm sure that's possible on a HEVO, but it adds a lot of weight. The BMGx2 has two extruder and two nozzles in a fixed arrangement in one carriage; they are not independent, so the nozzles have to be level with each other, so I don't really see the point of having two piezos, one for each nozzle. Most CoreXY printers with dual nozzles I've seen have gone the route of having two independent Z carriages, so becoming CoreXYU printers, but this does add an extra layer of mechanical complexity.
If you do end up with separate tools, in RRF 3.1.1 you can define any number of probes in M558 using the 'K' parameter. Then use G30 with the appropriate K parameter to probe with that tool. So you can have multiple independent probes, one for each tool.

I plan to do the same with my IDEX!
I would also like to reference both tools with one piezo sensor each.
Where do you write these commands? Does all of this come to homez.g?
