Fan controlling in DWC 2
-
Hello together!
I am new here and need your help please.
Currently i am building my first own Hypercube Evolution and have bought a Duet Wifi 2.
(This is also my first Duet Board ..)In the config i had configured that FAN1 is the HotEnd Fan and FAN0 is the Print Cooling Fan..
The Hotend Fan is configured as thermostatic Fan which turn on & off at 45C!
(this works fine...)My Problem is when i set the Heater to active, i will see "both" Fans! - The Hotend and the Part Cooling Fan!
But with "both" Fans i always control ONLY the Part Cooling Fan.Can somebody help or explain me, what i have did wrong, because i can se both Fans?
If i turn off the Heater the Hotend Fan disappears and only the Part Cooling Fan is visible!same behavor is when i slice & print a Gcode (SimpliFy3D)....
Hear is my Config, maybe can somebody have a look at it please?
config.gI hope everybody can understand my, because my english is terrible - I am a German User...
you would do me a huge favor if you could help me because this project is very dear to me and it is my first in such a way and whiteness!
oh yes, before i forget the exact software versions:
Duet Web Control 2.0.7
Wifi Server 1.23
Firmware 2.05.1Best Regards from Austria

edit: Ignore this I misread the first post.
The M563 tool definition line in your config contains "F0" which is linking your part cooling fan to the hot end. Try changing that F1 and see if it corrects the issue .

Hi!
if i set this to F1 the Hotend Fan will be turned OFF! if a start a print!
Sliced with S3D!So i have returnd this to F0..
But then i see "Both" Fans when the Heater is active.
But BOTH of this FANS always control ONLY the Part Cooling Fan.
Maybe it is a BUG?

did have you wait until your hotend reaches the temp 45 c°?

M563 F0 should be correct. That's the tool fan for that tool. F1 is the hotend fan.

I think what your describing is normal. The DWC will show a "tool fan" and the fan you have named "Bauteillufter". In your case, they are the same thing, but if you have multiple tools, the tool fan would always control the currently selected tools fan, and there would be seperate sliders for both named fans.
Does that make sense?

so that is "Normal" that the Hotendfand is displayed as "Werkzeuglüfter" and really controlls the Part Cooling Fan. (which is also displayed as usual as "Bauteillüfter)
Do you also see two fans with you, although the temperature of the hot-end fan is regulated?
-
Yes, it is normal, because "Werkzeuglüfter" is not hotend fan, it is part cooling fan for active tool, or lets call it "tool fan". "Bauteillüfter" is also part cooling fan, so as you have only one tool, they are same thing. There are 2 controlls for one fan just in case you have more then one tool, then you can controll those more then one part cooling fans separately. You actual hotend cooling fan is still thermostatically controlled by firmware and you cant controll it from DWC

okay thank you very much, then i'm reassured.
I already thought I configured something wrong because this is my first Duet Board and I've been studying the Duet Wiki for weeks
