Warning High temperature on drivers... - WORKBEE Duet 2 WiFi
-
what current are you running them at?
-
Workbee default setting is 2400mA. Maybe its too much for your motors?
-
-
Duet Wifi-s drivers itself are rated to maximum 2.4A, so to get max out of it you should use very good cooling for drivers i guess.

@stweet said in Warning High temperature on drivers... - WORKBEE Duet 2 WiFi:
motors: 2303HS280AW ( should be able to run 2.8a)
and theyre rated for at temperature increase of 80C and up to 50C ambient i.e. they'll get hot, real hot. its normal.
do you need to run such a high current?
-
@aidar
if you run the stepper drivers at 2400ma you will need to actively cool them.
a can that blows across the underside of the board should do it. -
@Veti @bearer year it sounds like i need better cooling on the pcb
-
cooling the board won't affect the motor temperature just if that was unclear.
-
@bearer yea i know but i set it to 1.8A motors are ok cool, but i felt drivers with my finger and they are pretty hot
