Requested speed displayed is slower than specified in Cura
-
As the title says, I have noticed that regardless of what speed I specify in Cura, it will always display the requested speed as about 10mm/s slower than what I actually specify and move accordingly. Any suggestions to correct this discrepancy?

I am aware of how cura breaks down the speed value, in this instance I have specified a 40mm/s speed for walls, both interior and exterior, infill, all of them are set to 40mm/s, and the web interface is showing a consistant requested speed of 30.1mm/s. The model is all walls, no infill.

Please post some sample gcode that exhibits this behaviour, thanks.

Oddly enough, I was tuning the current going to the stepper motors and bumping it from 500ma to 700ma on x and y seemed to have done the trick. It looks like its running at requested speeds now.

That doesn't make a ton of sense. The requested speed should show the same regardless of what the motor current is set to.
Was Cura configured to slow down for a minimum layer time?

There's no link to an uploaded file. Anyway, it sounds as if you have solved the issue so don't worry.

This did it for me... Minimum time of 20 sec was too long for my part. Thanks again!
