Hi Guys, In diagnosing my last issue of a clogged nozzle I somehow managed to get my config-override.g file changed. I just have, no idea how I did that? I must have issued a command in the console not knowing what I had done?

Well, David, you were correct in that the motor driver is all good!! I am embarrassed to say all of my problems were due to a clogged nozzle. I even when as far as taking the clogged nozzle and installing to my second end effector. Uuuggg Funny how you don't know what you don't know. In over 3 years printing nearly every day I had never experienced a clog or partial clog. Yikes, I was extruding maybe 60% just enough to make me think something else had gone awry. Thanks again for the help! I love my Duetwifi"s!!!

Hi Guys, My last dozen or so prints on one of my Duetwifi machine started loosing steps on the feeder motor. I replaced the motor just to see if that could be the problem as it has a few thousand hours on it but did the exact same thing with the new motor. I replaced the whole end effector with one from another printer known to work great with the same motor skipping. Keep in mind it is not stripping out the filament it's more like a loss of current going to the motor? My thought is that I have a motor driver chip failing? Could you please give me your thoughts? I have only needed 1 amp for this motor. I am also thinking that if it is the driver I could remap to my E1 to my motor since I do not have duel extruder on this machine? Do you know where in the setup config I could do the swap?

Hi David, Thanks for the reply! My fourth brand new card is working like a champ!! Why-why-why I ask myself??? It makes absolutely no sense to me. Any ideas what is going on?

I have tried three different SD cards with the same failure? None of my new cards will work? All the new cards are all 4GB SanDisk class 4. Everything seems to go as normal and opening the files shows the data, I have no idea why they will not work? The new cards still will not let me connect to web control, or read the card and all show My Duet at the top of the display instead of my printer name?

Had a strange thing happen today a small print stopped half way through print. It appeared that a data error / could not read from card happened. OK, no big deal this is a very old card and as printed thousands of prints. I was just thinking it was on its way out! I had all my up to date files saved on my computer so I made a new one with my saved files. The problem is all the files do transfer ok, however, don't seem to be working? Although it looks like everything is on the SD card OK I cannot connect, home the printer, read SD card or much of anything else? Even my printer name will only come up on the display as My Duet? The config.g is clearly on the card when I open it up on the computer? If I put my old card in I can get connected, home, print, and everything??

Any ideas greatly welcome!

Hi Guys, I noticed that if I make changes to my config.g file for the delta setting M665 R196.4 L409.53 B380 H335.15 the changes will not save/work? Is this because of the config-override.g settings take over? Can I make changes to the config-override.g file even though it states not to make changes in this file? My workaround has been to just push an M665 with my wanted setting followed by an M500 then reboot my controller? One other thing is there a way to reboot the controller from the g-code console?

Hi David and Ian, I too have experienced all of the above issues discussed over the past year. I have found workarounds and ended up setting things up manually with crazy numbers like A100 C1000 D200. I sure would like to be able to use auto tune but same a Ian I have a huge thermal mass at 10mm think 800 square mm. I have been able to to get past some of my problems with setting M570 H0 P300 T30 ; Load new Heater Fault parameters. The thing that has been stopping me from completing autotune it the 2 min limit to cool down. I will overshoot about 28c but it will take more than 2 min to start coming down. Is there anything I can do to on my end to increase that limit? I think this is an important thing to nail down as more and more high performance and more pro like machines have bigger platens.
