What would be an apropriate PSU wattage to power the duet3 6hc ?
I plan to have an external 5V 15W supply to constantly power the duet and toggle the 24v PSU before starting to print (or before any movement)
My question is, how much power do I need?
I will have 2 e3d high-torque steppers for X Y, for the extruder I have the hemera, and 3 random Chinese steppers for the triple z-axis
According to E3D docs, the high torque stepper takes 2.8v at a 1.68 A max.
Assuming this for all steppers as the worst-case scenario (Chinese steppers can only take 1.3A max)
2.8V * 1.68A * 6 = 28.2W
28.2W for steppers + 50W for the nozzle heating element gives us 78W
I didn't find any information on the duet power consumption, so I will round it to 100w.
Assuming that the best efficiency of a PSU is usually at 50% the best PSU would be 200w for the best efficiency and probably 150w bare minimum
Am I'm thinking right here?
