Duet Effector vs Piezo to eliminate Delta effector tilt?
Hello, everyone. After using BLtouch for years, I think it's time to switch to the less problematic z-probe solution. Effector tilt is a huge problem so I need a solution for eliminating that completely. I'm seeing that Smart Effector Duet claims to eliminate it but I can't buy it as it seems out of stock. But I can buy Precision Piezo but I don't know if it can eliminate effector tilt. I've searched the internet and couldn't find proper info about that as people seem to use XY or Cartesian Printers.
Or I need a solution for BLtouch to eliminate tilt if possible.

Duet wifi 2 and max SD Card storage limit?
I couldn't find proper info about this.
My old 8 GB sd card is dead. As 8 GB cards are no longer sold, I'm seeing the minimum option 32 GB or larger. So, I would like to ask if Duet Wi-fi can use 32 GB or larger SD cards? also in what format? exFAT?

RE: Uneven Fixed Delta Printer bed with Bltouch and 3D Touch
@rjenkinsgb said in Uneven Fixed Delta Printer bed with Bltouch and 3D Touch:
I suggest you take the M500 out your config.g, then re-run the full delta calibration sequence, followed by a single, manual M500.
https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Calibrating_a_delta_printer
The M500 creates or saves the config override file - but with it permanently in your config, that save happens before the M501 has chance to load the saved adjustment settings!
I believe that will result in no adjustments or delta compensation at all, as it is.
Well, that didn't work. did the calibration and M500, still same.

@rjenkinsgb Okay, I will try without M500. Removed it.

Uneven Fixed Delta Printer bed with Bltouch and 3D Touch
I have a TEVO Little Monster Delta printer. I've been using it with a quick fix (raising the bed level on some sides). But, that kinda gets overwhelming after some time.
The problem is that the BLtouch (and I tried 3D Touch) doesn't make the fixed bed even, even with raised sides (raising the bed level basically). No matter what I do there is always a 0.4mm difference between Y-155 and Y155. Obviously, that means prints stick to the bed on Y155 side as expected while on Y-155 it prints to air. I tried to add more calibration points but that didn't fix the problem. still same.

RE: Tool fan slider doesn't control all the fans
@jay_s_uk I'm using 2.05. 3xx versions cause issues with my device so I don't use them. I don't have much time for big problems.

Tool fan slider doesn't control all the fans
Hey, everyone. I have a Duet Wifi 2 with 2.05. I have an issue with the tool Fan slider. I have two cooling fans, but the tool fan slider only controls the left fan. So the right fan doesn't spin up with the tool fan slider being 100 (the fans are working alright)
Here is my fan config:
; Fans
M106 P0 C"Right Fan" S1 I0 F500 H-1 ; set fan 0 value, PWM signal inversion and frequency. Thermostatic control is turned off
M106 P2 C"Left Fan" S1 I0 F500 H-1 ; set fan 2 value, PWM signal inversion and frequency. Thermostatic control is turned off
; Tools
M563 P0 S"Extruder" D0 H1 ; define tool 0
G10 P0 X0 Y0 Z0 ; set tool 0 axis offsets
G10 P0 R0 S0 ; set initial tool 0 active and standby temperatures to 0C -
RE: Duet 2 Wifi USB PORT smoke
@bearer I'm not sure about the board. I have multiple computers in the office so the same result with them. Where can I buy that replacement diode?
-
RE: Duet 2 Wifi USB PORT smoke
My board is V1.04 I purchased it back in 2018. In the picture the board is powered by USB nothing is connected otherwise. That smoke doesn't happen with 24V (red and black wiring) but when that is connected I don't see the blue led.
I have the solder machine that I was using for my Arduino projects but It looks like I need more specialized tools for that.
-
RE: Duet 2 Wifi USB PORT smoke
After doing some experiments with smoke, I understand now. The smoke comes from the mosfet numbered "R97"

Duet 2 Wifi USB PORT smoke
I was using my Duet Wifi 2 from 2018-2019. About a year ago, the board suddenly stopped, and after it didn't work again. It was showing VIN light when connected to 24v power. When I connect it to a USB to a computer, I can see also the blue light and the computer can detect it but smokes are coming from the USB port when it is connected to USB. Is it possible to repair this or should I get a new one? I am using the spare Duet I have with the machine.

Smoke when supplying through USB?
Hey, everyone. I was seeing all the LEDs just fine. But smoke came from USB socket, didn't happen before. Any ideas?

@Veti I was using 6 factors, it was the same for that. Switched to 9 factors after. My offset is 20 btw, Y offset.
