@hergonoway that looks very good. Sorry I couldn't help directly and save you the trouble of redesigning it!

RE: 40mm cooling fan duct for Smart Effector - thoughts?
@hergonoway No, I've used the same 40x10 Noctua on my other printer with a e3d Chimera printing two colour with ABS and it works just fine.

@chipsa82 on the early photos with a blower, yes. The Noctua on the later version is a 40 x 10. I have shared my version on Thingiverse https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2844881

@hergonoway Unfortunately the CAD package I use does not support STP files so I can't do that.

RE: New Test Forum
Will the subscription email notifications work differently on the new forum? I find I subscribe to many threads so I can watch them - at the moment on the old forum these notifications stop after the first one.
This means that I don't get notified of any other replies until I visit the forum. The trouble is that the 2nd one might be the one I'm waiting for and I don't get it!
Ideally I'd like an email for each new post to threads I'm subscribed to.
Is this possible on the new forum?
Other than that, this one looks good to me!

RE: UK source for larger PEI sheet
Another vote for AndOrNot. I've just replaced my black Printbite with it as the Printbite was causing some of my PLA filaments to reject it like oil and water. I have PEI on my second printer and as far as I can tell they work very much the same.

Yes, I use the same for both.

RE: 40mm cooling fan duct for Smart Effector - thoughts?
I've uploaded an improved version for the BerdAir type cooling. It only needs support on the bed - I've included sacrificial support for the rest of it.
Mine prints perfectly in PETG with only minimal support plastic to remove.

RE: Running macros in response to conditions?
Oh, OK, thanks for clarifying.
I'm very happy with where this ended up - when the printer starts up it displays a message telling me to run the Delta_Start macro.
This sets the trigger (M581), checks which Smart Effector is installed, then homes the printer, runs delta config and then disables the trigger condition.
It works great and I won't get caught out with the Volcano installed and think I have the shorter v6!
Thanks for your help.

RE: Running macros in response to conditions?
I'm missing something, David, I'm sorry but I don't understand.
At the moment I only run a blocking message and a G28 (last line) in the config.g. This is on a large delta and it homes to max Z. Do you recommend not putting the G28 in the config.g?
The hold message reminds me to run the delta_start macro that will call the trigger function. After reading your note above I will move the M581 command from the config.g to this macro so that it is only called when I run that macro. I will also use the S-1 notation to disable it afterwards.
Thanks for your help.
