paneldue 7i cable ribbon lengths
hi, need help with what ribbon cable lengths will be ok to use on the e3d tool changer, i mean the 10 pin one, read 400mm is max out, but for the tool hcnager i reckon i need 600 or 700mm so can that long a cable be used ?, also is it ok to use a pt100 board with a longer ribbon cable ? and for the normal cables i read somewhere u cant use the sd card slot if u use them on the panel due, however do the other functions work ? wasn't mentioned, any clarity on that,

RE: Short to ground alarm on the duet board
@zapta my guess is sometimes you can get faulty boards or drivers, electronics are after all not a 100% all the time, or it could be a wiring thing from the @E3D ppl, anyways i will have to investigate this, and hopefully i get a replacement

RE: Short to ground alarm on the duet board
Good news is that after adding the R-1 the alarm went away, now i must inspect all the wires to be very sure before plugging them in :), but hope i get a replacement

RE: Short to ground alarm on the duet board
@dc42 also a heads up, i tried swapping the ports in the config.g as i had seen someone do on the duet3d forum but still the alarm persists, strangely i can home the machine, pick and drop tools, fans work too, and i can heat the tools and the bed, hopefully you have some solution to this

Short to ground alarm on the duet board
Hi,
I had bought the tool changer, and i was installing it, went through the wiring and commissioning after i moved to try a test print as suggested, and it started and we were printing without any filament, just to test the motion, but then i got a alarm, and a some sparks on the board, the alarm was and is still not going is βshort to ground reported by 3 driver(s) over temperature shutdown reported by 3 Driver(s)β i am enclosing a pic of the same, i read online that some duet boards might have a fault and that they are replaced in warranty if this error happens, please help me out here on this, i tried removing all the steppers and it still gives this alarm, however i can home and pick up tools even the fans work, so please help me out here as what to do next, Thanking you
