Thanks! I just found the bad wire. Its broke off the solder to the bed... Annoying but fixable! Thanks again

Bed Temp Spike to 2000c when i home
Hi,
I have had my printer running. Been trying to fine tune it etc.
However, yesterday i tried to print then realised, when i home the axis. My bed thermostat reads 2000 degrees. I haven't had this issue. I've unpluged the bed , checked the wiring and all seems good. Once I've homed it the temp continues to stay at the 2000cAnyone encountered this or got any ideas?
Thank you!

RE: X Not moving when homing
You, Legend! Its working, Not sure why i changed that, I did look in my console log but the only error is the Z probe failed to deploy, this was made when i emergency stopped.

RE: X Not moving when homing
That makes sense! I've changed the value in x for the M557 Command to 56.
However i still have the same issue. The X Will home, will stay where the endstop is then deploy probe and then Z will lower -

X Not moving when homing
Hi Guys, So i have a bit of a weird issue.
So. I got my printer priting well enough for now. Configured all the motors etc. Got it printing as best i could however because of my BL touch, the printer started printing off center. In a effort to fix this i changed the offset to the z prob in the config from -18 to 18. This resulted in the homing, going to x endstop then dropping. I then have to do a emergency stop before it hits the bed.From what i remember this is the only value i changed. I've changed it back to -18, 18, 30, -30 to see what happens and so far its just done nothing bar drop.
Here is my Config.

RE: BL Touch Problem Duet wifi 2
@phaedrux Fantasic, thank you very much, just going to go through the test page now! I have just relised aswell my Z axis steps per mm is screwed up as 5mm seems more like 50mm!! Ill get this sorted then sort out the trigger height!
Thanks again for your help!

RE: BL Touch Problem Duet wifi 2
Thanks for the reponce.
I looked at the problem with fresh eyes this morning. I Found in my Homeall.g file it was calling the wrong file on this line.
M98 deployprobe.g ; deploy mechanical Z probe
and
M98 retractprobe.g ; retract mechanical Z probe
They were both like the old style Pdeployprobe.g/Pretractprobe.g. So i changed this, set the offsets then did a static test where it worked. I then proceeded to do a test, i homed all, it deployed and lowered correctly, when it hit the bed it rose 5. I must have changed a setting somewhere to make it do that.The next issue i now face, is after it rises i get a warning where robe.g couldn't be found. I am assuming i am doing something incorrectly and its not searching for the full deployprobe.g or retractprobe.g
I moved on with doing a static test recommended by @Phaedrux.
The result was with the probe deployed using the M401, When triggered the pin rises, goes red then the pin drops again with Z-probe reading 0 both times.The G30 Test, it does what it is suppose to do, it lowers then when it triggers it rises 5 again. (Need to find that in the config to stop it from doing that)
I did start the dynamic test to find the trigger height. Which i worked it out to be -0.148 lower then when it triggers. i was going to amend this when i know it is accurate with the static test working first...
Thanks again

RE: BL Touch Problem Duet wifi 2
@phaedrux
I cant seem to do any test on it bar the fact it deploys and retracts. I can't home the z axis to preform a G30 test because the z axis proceeds to just go down past the sensor until i emergency stop then manually lift the z axis. -
RE: BL Touch Problem Duet wifi 2
@Phaedrux
I've just tried to do a G30 static test, but i get the error or needing the Z to be homed first. I cant home it without the sensor working? -

@phaedrux
Hi, It is Firmware version: 2.02(RTOS) (2018-12-24b1) and 1.04b revision.
I'm now Just trying to find this V3 thread!
With regards to a static G30 test, I haven't no, i haven't seen this recommended anywhere? -
BL Touch Problem Duet wifi 2
Hi Guys, Ive tried to get my BL Touch to work with my new build.
A Quick bit about my build.
24v Power supply,
Duet Wifi 2 Board,
Nema 17 Motors @ 0.9 degrees.
Its based off a Anet A8.Now onto my issue. I have got the X and Y that home properly. Yay, However for the Z axis. I have used a Genuine BL Touch from antclabs. I followed the guide that was recommended everywhere. https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Connecting_a_Z_probe#Section_BLTouch
I Originally used the configuration tool to configure my printer then went into the config files to match them up to the above guide.
However, When i power up the board it does its 3 ups and downs, followed by a constant red light with the pin up.
Then when i send the command: M280 P3 S10 I1. The pin drops with a blue light.
The next command (M280 P3 S120 I1) Which puts it into test mode. makes the pin drop then back up, drop and back up, continually. I place a piece of card underneath to mimic the bed and the pin goes up, Z probe to 1000 which is correct, however the bl touch is now flashing red and seems to become unresponsive. not correct.I then tried it without the test, deployed the probe, slowly moved the z probe down to the bed, this however did exactly the same as the above, as soon as it touched the base, it went up and flashed red.
Has anyone got any idea what this could be. Its a Genuine BL Touch V3 Smart...
Thank you!
