If the error seems to follow the driver and now the motor/cable then it would seem the connectors are alright and the fault is in the driver.

So I replaced the fan with a new one. Either that fan was bricked or it's cable.
Now everything seems to work right.

After all it was a wiring issue as no major changes to files were made.

I do not think I can find a decent electronics shop in my city that I can trust to fix this and not destroy it 😄 , so I will contact Roland and see my options. Probably shipping it to Duet3D would be the same cost as shipping it to any other country they guys that are keen to help in community repairs.

@gpetropoulos I'm using an inductive NPN sensor LJ12A3-4-Z/BX. Sort what you already got and I must say connecting and using it is EZ PZ, as long you don't use magnets. There is a comparison table in the Duet3D docs posted above.

In my case I simply took the best probe with the shortest setup instructions:

I then broke the bank on an overpowered, really good 24V power supply so that the voltage is stable and it worked perfectly ever since.

Is there any reason you can't use an adhesive for the silicone heater? The heater runs inefficiently without full contact due to air gaps.

@dc42 I connected my pc via lan for now and it seems that the disconnects have been reduced greatly. I also increased the ajax number. I will continue to check on this and see if it appears again. Thank you.

Glad it's working properly now. I think the issue was a result of Z0 being set differently than what the G31 trigger height would have given, and the difference was resulting in the huge offset from the Z plane in the heightmap.

I have found this thread very useful, as I use the same proximity sensor (LJ12A3-4-Z/BX). My printer is now running properly and I am one step closer to homing the Z-Axis. So, thanks!
