M500 Warning: No M501 command was executed in config.g
Hi and thanks for your help.
It is now almost two years since I had my Ender 5's board replaced with a Duet2 board. RepRap firmware.
I noticed that something is off with my prints and decided to do an E-step calibration according to this website: https://teachingtechyt.github.io/calibration.html#esteps
The new e-step value needs to be 420 which I changed with M92 E420.00000
I then had to store it on the EEPROM with M500. It is then that I got this message:
No M501 command was executed in config.gHow do I store the new value in the EEPROM?
Thanks very much.

RE: Please help me update Duet Web Control
@phaedrux said in Please help me update Duet Web Control:
If you wish to stay with RRF2 you are limited to DWC 2.0.7 as well. In order to move beyond that you'd need to do some updating.
If you still have access to DWC. Upload these 3 zip files, one at a time in the system tab. Don't extract them first. Reboot after each. Use M115 in the gcode console to verify the firmware has been applied.
https://github.com/Duet3D/RepRapFirmware/releases/download/2.05.1/Duet2Firmware-2.05.1.zip
https://github.com/Duet3D/RepRapFirmware/releases/download/3.0/Duet2and3Firmware-3.0.zip
https://github.com/Duet3D/RepRapFirmware/releases/download/3.3/Duet2and3Firmware-3.3.zip
That will get your firmware and DWC up to date. You can see the change logs here:
https://github.com/Duet3D/RepRapFirmware/wiki/Changelog-RRF-3.xFor your config, might be a good idea to run through the configurator tool and generate a fresh set for RRF3.
https://configtool.reprapfirmware.org/StartBackup your existing config files in the sys folder in case you want to switch back to RRF2. It’s easy to switch back and forth, just upload the zip file for the version you want and then upload your config files.
These documents will come in handy during the conversion.

https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/GcodeThank you so much for your reply. I appreciate your time helping me.
Is it possible to go back to my current installation if something doesn't work out? I will make a backup of all system files and download the zip before doing anything else.
Thanks again. -
Please help me update Duet Web Control
Hi and thanks for the help. (I am far from a programmer but can follow instructions.)
Machine details
Board: Duet WiFi 1.02 or later
Firmware: RepRapFirmware for Duet 2 WiFi/Ethernet 2.05.1 (2020-02-09b1)
Duet WiFi Server Version: 1.23
Duet Web Control 2.0.7I noticed on Github that I am a bit behind with the DWC. But I don't have a clue on how to update it. I can see some files but don't know which ones to upload. I see there is an Upload button in the System menu.
I would really appreciate it if someone could point me to a tutorial or YouTube video on how to do it.Is it possible to update the board also? From what I understand it is a rather old board. I also don't want to do something where everything on the board is wiped. I don't have a clue on how to get everything working again.
Thanks again. -
RE: Please: need to update DWC
@Veti
Yes, I have learned that. I am not comfortable doing it myself at this stage. Will do it later some time. Thanks again. You have been a great help. The think I like for now the most is that I can change the baby-steps' increments.

RE: Please: need to update DWC
It says:
Duet Web Control 2.0.7I'm so happy.

RE: Please: need to update DWC
@Veti
Ok, thanks. I have just loaded the file again under ip/reprap.htmNothing seemed different. I tried again to load the page but only with IP. And it refreshed to what seems to be the updated DWC.
It looks a whole lot different and will have to learn the new layout ... but I like it.Thank you so much again for your help. Much appreciated.

RE: Please: need to update DWC
@Veti How did you know that? You're a genius. Thanks for sticking with me. I don't mind having it like this, but what did not happen or happen? I want to learn.
It doesn't look like it installed the file:
Firmware Name: RepRapFirmware for Duet 2 WiFi/Ethernet
Firmware Electronics: Duet WiFi 1.02 or later
Firmware Version: 2.05.1 (2020-02-09b1)
WiFi Server Version: 1.23
Web Interface Version: 1.22.6 -
RE: Please: need to update DWC
@Veti I'm using the printer's IP address. I can successfully ping it and it is also listed as a connected device on router UI.
I tried with Edge, Firefox & Chrome, normal and private/incognito mode and in all instances just a blank page.
I have also switch off and back on the printer a couple of times.

RE: Please: need to update DWC
@Veti I unfortunately need to change my reply to: "It worked once but not again". Anything I can try. I cannot even access it from my phone or tablet. Page remains empty. I don't get an error message ... only empty page.
The wifi seems ok. I could start a single layer square which is printing now. Page remains empty.
Any other advice will be most welcome. At the moment I am stuck with an empty page.
If needed, I can access the printer through a USB cable with my Laptop. -
RE: Please: need to update DWC
@Veti great. Worked first shot. Thanks again.
-
RE: Please: need to update DWC
@Veti do I need to switch off and back on after uploading the file? I just uploaded the file and all were extracted 100%. The page then went completely empty ... I even refreshed the page ... no difference. I don't want to switch off and back on before you giving me the green light.
Thanks. -
RE: Please: need to update DWC
@Veti great thanks. Just waiting for a print to finish and will then run the file.
-
RE: Please: need to update DWC
@Veti thanks again. Do I need to make a backup first? If so, how do I do it? I appreciate your help.

Please: need to update DWC
Thank you for your help. I am totally new to updating files on my board and don't know how to do this.
My setup:
Firmware Name: RepRapFirmware for Duet 2 WiFi/Ethernet
Firmware Electronics: Duet WiFi 1.02 or later
Firmware Version: 2.05.1 (2020-02-09b1)
WiFi Server Version: 1.23
Web Interface Version: 1.22.6I was advised to update my DWC to 2.0.7
I downloaded the I downloaded the DuetWebControl zip file from here: https://github.com/Duet3D/DuetWebControl/releases/tag/2.0.7I just want to confirm:
Do I upload the zip file with the web interface as on the picture or do I need to unzip first and then upload.
It is probably better to make a backup of my printer files first. How do I do this?Any other pointer I need to know will be very welcome. Is there maybe a step-by-step installation via the web interface?
Thanks.
