RE: Nozzle temp continues to rise

Nozzle temp continues to rise
Little by little I get my delta configured. However, I can't get any further due to a problem with heater/pt1000 temp settings. As soon as I start a print or give a command to heat the nozzle, the temp continues to rise. The temperature rises very quickly and doesn't stop until "Error: Heater 1 fault: temperature excursion exceeded 15.0°C (target 100.0°C, actual 140.0°C)" kicks in. I've been looking for a solution for several days but haven't found anything yet.
Kind regards,

RE: Duet 3 6HC com port doesn't appear (Windows)
@dc42 Thanks for the info.
Just signed up with DWC, very nice interface. Now I can continue with the next step, installing the electronics and connecting.
It's amazing how quickly help is provided. I really appreciate it.

@phaedrux said in Duet 3 6HC com port doesn't appear (Windows):
Do you happen to have a powered USB hub?
My laptop has ss usb ports.
Just completed the firmware flash successfully thanks to your help. The Duet is now also visible in device manager.
It is correct that the "Status" LED is blinking right?
Thank you very very much for your help!

@phaedrux
It's good to hear that firmware and warranty are not related. Then I can go through the steps with a calmer feeling. I'm going to give it a try in a minute. Gather some courage firstThank you for your help.

RE: Duet 3 6HC com port doesn't appear (Windows)
Step: "If no port appears, or you get a Windows error message several seconds after you connect the Duet via USB, try connecting it to a different USB port, and try using a different USB cable, making sure that the USB cable is a data cable (some USB cables provide power only)."
No restult.Step: "If the port still doesn't appear on the PC
If neither port is shown, then the Duet may be faulty or it may not have valid firmware installed. With USB power applied, erase the firmware. Only erase the firmware if your board is completely unresponsive, or if instructed to do so by Duet3D."If I'm seeing correctly, I'll have to clear the Firmware then. Spooky! what happens to the warranty?

Duet 3 6HC com port doesn't appear (Windows)
Hi all,
My name is Coen and last Wednesday I recieved my first Duet3D hardware.
- PanelDue met 7"
- Delta Smart Effector v2.0
- Duet 3 Mainboard 6HC v1.01
I'm really curious how my Delta will preform with his new brain.
Unfortunately I'm running into a problem. I hope someone can point me in the right direction. I wanted to go through the steps via "Getting Started" but can't get past step 1
My New Duet 3 6HC is not recognized by my laptop. I have tried different USB cables and laptops. With the same result, no COM-port response and no confirmation sound when a USB is plugged into the laptop.
Who has advice.
Kind regards,
Coen
