reluctantly, I have given up on the duet board for now at least. I spent countless hours trying to dial in the settings and have not been able to get it to work properly. Sent it into a repair shop, they were also not able to get it to work properly. I have gone back to the stock wiring and Ender 3 board to find out why it is not extruding properly.

RE: Z Probe Trigger Height G30 S-1 height changing every probe
I had a spare BLTouch so I just tried installing it with new wiring in hopes that was the issue, it wasn't. I must be doing something wrong or missing something but I can't seem to find what it is.

RE: Z Probe Trigger Height G30 S-1 height changing every probe
I tried updating to 2.05.1, same issue unfortunately.

RE: Z Probe Trigger Height G30 S-1 height changing every probe
@Phaedrux Firmware 2.03 (2019-06-13b2)
Web 1.22.2 -
RE: Z Probe Trigger Height G30 S-1 height changing every probe
@Phaedrux I just checked the tension on the V wheels, it looks good, there's no play on the rail. I have done PID tuning. I have been testing with the bed cold

RE: Z Probe Trigger Height G30 S-1 height changing every probe
@Turbo thanks! I'll give those a try

RE: Z Probe Trigger Height G30 S-1 height changing every probe
@Turbo ah OK, that is
M906 X800 Y800 Z800 E900 I30 ; set motor currents (mA) and motor idle factor in per cent -
RE: Z Probe Trigger Height G30 S-1 height changing every probe
@Turbo Sorry if this is a dumb question but how do I confirm this?

RE: Z Probe Trigger Height G30 S-1 height changing every probe
@dc42 I decided to take everything back to step one and go through the entire process again in case I missed something. I am still getting the same issue where the probe reads a different value every time

RE: Terrible print
@jens55 Thank you, I will give that a try. What's odd to me is that it start off printing OK

RE: Terrible print
Well, I thought I was onto good things. I tried to get a video but ti didn't work out very well. I was watching the print, it's almost like it forgets where z home is and tries to extrude too high part way through

RE: Terrible print
@droftarts it didn’t look to be skipping. I took the gear out and cleaned it up as a preventative measure. There was some plastic “dust” in the gears, it all cleaned out with a quick blast of air.

RE: Terrible print
@Phaedrux Thank you! One of these will be my next print

RE: Terrible print
@Phaedrux There didn't look to be but there must have been. I think I'm going to look into a different filament holder.

RE: Terrible print
it's definitely not perfect but, it printed!
Thank you everyone! I think it's a matter of dialing things in now.

RE: Terrible print
So, I think I was right that it was something simple....I moved the filament and it's printing FAR better. Still not perfect but much better. I'll post a picture when it finishes but I think 1/2 my issue was filament tension that I didn't notice....

RE: Terrible print
@droftarts I thought I saved the config but I can't find it now that I'm looking for it. The extruder is stock for ender 3, 1.8 deg. I have done the celebration several times, it feeds 100mm of filament like it's supposed to. Although, now that I am thinking about it there have been a few changes made, it's worth checking again.
I am sure I'm probably missing something really simple. Earlier this week I went right back to step 1 and walked through the entire setup.

RE: Terrible print
@droftarts I will do a video of the print this morning. I am also trying another slicer. I did verify that the filament is set to 1.75 in both Simplify 3D and now Cura.
Yes, I had the printer working before switching to Duet.

RE: Terrible print
it looks like it is feeding and retracting properly. here is a video https://drive.google.com/open?id=1tmyHTlHK1n9yKcz9mY-qDMLeeh0X33k5
@dc42 I have tried adjusting m201 and m203 E values, so far no change. I have tried printing at various temps from 205 - 230C

RE: Terrible print
So, as many mentioned before it is definitely an extruder issue.
Here's today's progress
Hopefully soon I will have a usable printer again lol
