Swapping Ender 3 Control Board with Duet 2 Maestro
-
Good Evening I just got finished ordering my Duet 2 Maestro to replace my entirely stock Ender 3 Control Board with that being said are there any guides on doing this? I know the fans will be an issue as they are 12 Volts. I seen a video where the gentleman used a step down board from 24 Volts to 12 Volts are they necessary and if so where can you purchase them? I am in the USA just saying that in case someone suggests where to buy id prefer to purchase in USA. The Cabling and Connectors seem to be another issue requiring cuts and splicing or using jumper cables. Id like to try in make this a professional install so any suggestions on where to buy the correct cabling with perhaps the right connectors already attached? I appreciate any assistance regarding my questions and look forward to some guidance!

Been there, done that. I replaced the case fan and the hotend cooling fan with noctua NF-A4x10 5V - the maestro board allows you to jumper the fans to 5V. This significantly dropped the machine noise. No need to do so however from the start, the fans used by Creality are actually 24V models.
For the wiring of the display: this is the relevant thread where I posted an instruction to create an adapter cable
You should get new connectors with your maestro board, get yourself a proper crimping tool and just replace the JST plugs with the Würth ones - a bit annoying, but it is literally a one to one connection for everything but the end stops.
