Unable to flash firmware

I am switching to latest duet 2 1.04 from an older 1.02 the config.g works fine from before, but I can't flash new firmware for some reason. If I used the config.g which came with the board stock, I was able to flash firmware...I assumed it had something to do with the SD card and replaced the contents of the stock sd card sys folder with mine, and everything works fine, but again I can't flash firmware...it says updating, but doesn't apply it. Is there something in config.g which would preclude firmware from being applied? Can someone post a link to bone stock config.g

got it fixed, my iap4e.bin was wrong
