RRF & "ERCF Binky Encoder"

I'm planing on building a MMU system sooner or later, and both the systems i'm looking at building can use the same encoder to keep track of the filament between the MMU unit and extruder.
That encoder is called "Binky" and it uses a optical sensor triggered by an encoder wheel driven by the filament.
From what I can understand from the "Binky" schematics it shouldn't be any issue deploying this as a pulse generating sensor in RRF, shouldn't it?

@Exerqtor it'll work fine. however, remember that if you're using it as a filament runout sensor for the extruder, it needs to be connected to the same CAN board as the extruder.

@jay_s_uk The plan is to use a Stride Max Dual to controll the Binky on a TradRack. So i suppose that should work(?) I haven't started working on the macro set yet.

@Exerqtor thats fine, you just won't be able to use it as a filament sensor as its connected to a different board than the extruder driver.

@jay_s_uk Yup i'm aware. I've got a 1LC on the toolhead that i can connect a filament sensor to if i reeeally want one
