Hotend opinion I need

Well nearly 3 years into my build , build the printer with a double extruder and always been having issue , started with a flexion upgrade to a bondtech bmg+x2 with a chimera from e3d , extruder always worked like it should mostly , but I tend to have jam, clog and setting both nozzle always seem to be annoying.
Thinking of throwing the double extruder out and replacing it with a lgx + mosquito single extruder . By removing all that weight I could reach faster speed . In exchange of giving up the possibility of double extrusion.
Should I do it or someone has better combo to offer ? I prefer to go with real things not clone . Quality has it price !
Current setup .

@Dad003 the orbiter V2 is probably one of the best available on the market
-
@jay_s_uk i would agree the orbiter v2 is the best extruder on the market. people also like the small LGX lite which is similar to the orbiter.
if you still want dual colors you could consider converting the printer to dual carriage IDEX. but that is a major change which could take a long time.
-
@RogerPodacter i have both and the LGX Lite is no where near as good as the orbiter
-
@RogerPodacter going the IDEX way i think i would just build another printer lol , it would still be a bit of a challenge but i designed and build my own printer , so i could figure out things lol
2 vote for the orbiter 2 ,

@jay_s_uk okay i will think about the orbiter .

I think the question you shpuld answer is: why are you having a jam/clog.
Reading your post THAT is your problem, not what extruder you are using.
I have been using a dual geared extruder, 2 extruders on my printhead, for about 3 years, printing materials like peek (420 degrees celsius) for 80 continues hours, and I have never, reallly NEVER a jam or clog .
So you problem is not the extruder and probably something else is causing the jam/clog.
I have an orbiter 2 on 1 of my printer. Really nice tight design. But I can argue many of the tech declarations on their website: so far I have not been able to reach the extrusion rates that I can get with my double geared bondtech clone extruder, because of the motor. I have a real extrusion rate of 67 mm3/s and on orbiter I never reached more than 30mm3/s and that is less than half.
there are another small design details like the peek parts on the orbiter that may be is not the place to discuss. Orbiter 2 is GREAT, but I have better extrusion rates and that is mainly because of the extruder motor of course. So, I would focus no answering the question instead of just replacing the extruder.
